SHIPPING NOTES. The Storm arrived yesterday from Wellington, and sailed in the evening for Dunedin and Timaru. The Katoa is to sail to-day with cargo for Auckland direct. The Waipiata is expected this morning from Auckland, Napier, and Wellington. It is hoped to dispetch her to-night for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Karetu is due to-morrow from Sydney, via Dunedin. She has coal and general cargo for discharge, and is to sail on Wednesday for Timaru, Oamaru, Bluff, and Sydney. The Tees has been bar-bound at Greymouth, and is expected at Wellington from that port to-day. She is due here on Wednesday, when «he will load for the Chathams. The Wairau is expected to-day from Blenheim, and is to load on Tuesday for the return trip. The Gale, which arrived at Lj;tielton late on Thursday night from Wanganui with cattle, is to "lay up here for overhaul. The Breeze is due to-morrow from Timaru, and on Tuesday loads for' Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. _ , The Calm is to arrise to-morrow from Wellington, sailing on Tuesday for Bluff, Dunedin. and Timaru. The Kennedy should be here to-morrow or on Monday from • Foxton direct, and is to load on Tuesday for Wellington and Foxton. The Orepuki is to arrive to-morrow from Tarakohe and „ Timaru. She discharges cement on Tuesday, and then loads for kelson, Westport, and Grcymouth. The Jonn, due to-morrow from Wanganui, loads on Tuesday for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth, and Waikato. The Kaiapoi is expected' to-morrow from Bunbury and Hobart, via Auckland and Wellington. • The Waipori should arrive to-morrow from > Westport, via Bluff, Dunedin, and Oamaru. The Waibemo is expected • to-morrow from San Francisco, via Apia,' Bluff, and Dunedin. She should get sway on Wednesday for Wellington, Napier, and New Plymouth. The Totara is an. expected arrival from Oamarn on Wednesday. She takes in cargo for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth.

The Progress has been delayed, and will not arrive until October 29th to load for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato.
