"The Barrier," one of the finest films produced of late, is the star attraction at the Grand Theatre this week. With an ailstar cast interpreting the story, and magnificent settings away in the wastes of Alaska, nothing has been left undone by the producers to give the screen one of its outstanding pictures of the year. Lionel Barrymore gives easily his greatest screen . characterisation. As Stark Bennett, the brutal skipper, he equals anything his illustrious brother, John, has done, and he has two excellent supports in Xorman Kerry aud Henry B. Walthall.
