GRAND THEATRE.

"What Price Glory" is in its third week's screening at the Grand Theatre. The chief characters in the story are Captain Fligg and Sergeant Quirt of tho American marines. Both are true sons of jiars, Captain Flagg especially. Chance throws them together during the world war in France, and round their adventures in love and war the 6tory is woven. Captain Flagg is a baffling character. He ia soiuthing more than a hardened soldier. He is not 30 brutal as would appear on the surface, and he is moved at the sight of yi-ung iren marching in the holocaust of war. There' is one character in the story, who is known as Mother's Boy, who has a horror of war, yet he has come to fight for his country.' Captain Flagg, recognises his type -it once, and in his rough manner he is kind to the young man. When mother's boy dies, the Captain shows a tenderness that is equally surprising. Captain Flagg is a strange n>ixturo of good and bad, but the former quality predominates. Tho same may be said in a lesser degree of Sergeant Quirt. He ja a more refined character, but has many bad points as well as good ones.
