BURIED AT SEA.

WELL-KNOWN EAST COAST SETTLER.

WELLINGTON, July 20. The death of one of the first-class passengers, Mr G. Busby, occurred on June 25th, on board the Tamaroa which arrived at Wellington last night from Home. Death was due to heart failure and the vessel was eight days out from Southampton at .e time. Mr Busby, it is understood, was a sheep farmer in the Tokomaru Bay district, and had been Home for a trip. The body was buried at sea. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) GISBORNE, July 25. Mr G. Busby was a well-known figure on the East Coast. He spent his early life in Hawke's Bay on the station of his father, who was a son of Mr Busby, British Resident in New Zealand in 1833, at the Bay of Islands. Mr G. Busby came to Tokomaru Bay thirty-seven years ago with his father, and took up land. He had been in the district ever since.
