Miss Alison Bristol (North street) is visiting friends in Napier Mrs Huyshe Elliott (England) is t';e guest of Mrs Bernard Tripp (Orielton). Dr. and Mrs G. Sheehan (Melboarne) are at Mount Cook. J Mr and Mrs T. Page have returned ) to Lyttelton after a visit to Timaru. Archdeacon and Mrs J. A. Julius (St. s Mary's Vicarage) and Miss Laura Bowen are camping at Milford. Mrs F. Courage who was a* Mt. Somers with Mrs I. F. Peache has re- • turned to Amberley. Archdeacon and Mrs Haggitt, who are in Dunedin, will spend the weekj end at Cadogan. Mrs G. H. Ussher (Seft n street) and Miss Gibbs (Auckland) will leave tor day for a holiday at Mount Cook. Mrs Paul Brodrick and her two { daughters (Martinborough) are in Tit maru. Hospital Board Elections. At the monthly meeting of the United j Friendly Societies' Council it was unanimously decided to nominate Brother R. I S. Griffiths as a candidate for a seat on the South Canterbury Hospital Board. A strong Organisation ComI mittee was set up to ensure his election.
