OBITUARY.
MR W. H. BOUNDY.
There passed away recently at the reBidenco of his daughter, Mrs C J. Berryttan, 88 Winter's road, Tapanui, William Henry Boundy, in his 88th year. The late Mr and Mrs Boundy left England in the steamship Atrato in FebxWry 1874, together with two sons JrTthree «ters, and tho vessel tarried 1000 souls. Just after leaving ff&'Hhaft broke which enforced her return to Plymouth, and the repairs necessitated a stay of two weoks The voyage was resumed and the vessel made a call at Cape Town where a passenger embarked and unfortunately brought the measles aboard, ana an epidemic set in. No fewer than 40 persons died. Mr and Mrs Boundy tost one of their daughters, aged four, and a son aged 18 months. However things improved and the ship made good progress to Port Chalmers, and thence to Lyttolton, where the family disembarked on June 24th, 1874. The familv proceeded to Christchurch nind settled in Woorston, where they have resided ever since. Mr Boundy was «ngaged in the dairy industry until ho retired on'account of ill health many years ago. He was one of the first members to be,, initiated into the Anchor Lodge, in -sv.hich he took an active part. Mr Bcundy ««ro members of the "Woolston Methodist Church for many years. Mrs Boundy predeceased her husband eight years •go. Mr Boundy leaves behind three sons and two daughters—Messrs John, •Albert, and Alfred Boundy, and Mrs J. Berryman and Mrs T. Bottomley. He also leaves 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral too'? place at the Lin wood Cemetery pnd was attended by a large circle of relations and friends and brothers of the Anchor Lodge.,
