PROPOSED HARMONIC SOCIETY.
It is proposed t« form in Christchurch a mixed choir, similar to the Harmonic Societies in the other main cities; and' Mr Victor C. Peters hag been asked to become the first conductor of the new A strong committee has already been, formed, and at its first meeting gratifying support was assured of both performers; and subscribers. ■ The choir will confine itself chiefly to the singing of part-songs, glees, etc., a special feature of unaccompanied•■ *}WfßA meeting of all interested, both intending; subscribers and singers, will belief on.
