SKULL FOUND.

IN CITY YARD. Whilst digging in the garden in the backyard of his property, situated at the, corner of Bath and Durham streets, Mr A. Gregory, storekeeper, unearthed an old skull on Wednesday evening. The skull is in a good state of preservation, but the lower jaw and teeth ar'o missing. It is a human skull, and the probabilities are that it has been buried a very long time, as it is many years since the ground had been dug over. Further digging failed to produce more remains, and a theory has been advanced that it was probably, at some time or other, the property ot a medical student. The property was leased by Mr Gregory over 12 months ago. The-police were informed of the find, and the skull is now in their possession.
