♦ Exchange of Pulpits. On Sunday morning an exchange of pulpits will be made by the Kev. J. McCaw, of St. John's Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. B. Dudley, of the Methodist Church. Recreation Ground. As a result of the visit of inspection made by the Mayor and councillors to the area in the new reclaimed land set asido by the Harbour Board as a recreation ground for the borough, it has been decided to proceed with the top-dressing of the site immediately, with the view of having it ready for games this winter if possible. Harbour Light Theatre. "The Texas Streak," a Universal-Jewel Western drama, starring Hoot Gibson, will bo repeated at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night, together with a Century comedy and an International News. To-morrow, "Wet Paint," a Paramount comedy, featuring Raymond Griffith, will be screened. The supporting programme includes a comedy, screen snapshots, and cartoon. Waterfront Holiday. Wednesday will be observed as a close holiday on the waterfront at Lyttelton, on the occasion of the waterside workers' annual picnic. Members and staff of the Lyttelton Harbour Board will also hold their annual picnic on Wednesday, at Ashburton. The Picnic Committee has decided that any persons travelling by the picnic train without an invitation and ticket issued by the committee will be charged full ordinary fare. Ladies' Swimming Club. The Lyttolton Ladies' Swimming Club held two races at Corsair Bay last evening, with results as follows: 25yds Handicap—M. Pitcaithly (3sec) 1, E. Bundy (ssec) 2. R. Shadbolt (scr), G. Sheplieard (6sec;, V. Livingstone (2sec), M. Sutton (ssec), R. Plimmer (2sec), and R. Miller (2sec) also started. BOvds Handicap—V. Livingstone (ssec) 1, R. Shadbolt (scr) 2. M. Sutton (Usee), R. Bundy (7sec), P. Plimmer (Ssec), R. Miller (6sec), M. Piteaithly (2sec), and G. Shepheard (13sec) also started.
