All lots were sold at auction at satisfactory priccß to vendors. There is abundance of feed about now, and dairy fanners are buyers for the beet classes of springers on tho point of calving. Best second, third, and fourth calvers £8 to £l2, medium £6 to £7 10s, inferior £3 10s to £5 10s; boat heifers £7 to £lO 10s, extra to £l3 106, others £4 10s to £6 10s. Quite a change was noticeable in this department, practically all the pens being filled, and the yarding included two or three pens of steers from the West Coast and Knikoura. These, however, showed signs of travel, and were in poor condition.
