N.Z. PICTURE THEATRES.
EXHIBITORS' ASSOCIATION FORMED. [THE PRESS Special Service.] AVELLINGTON, January 19, Over'fifty moving picture representatives, representing theatres from Auckland to Bluff, assembled in conference to-day, and, as a result, it was decided to form the New Zealand Exhibitors' Association (incorporated), with headquarters in Wellington. M r E. J. Righton was elected president, and Mr W. R. Kemball vicepresident. The executive elected were: —Messrs T. O'Brien, G. Saunders, H. Thompson, O. N. Gillespie, H. W. Shortt,' G. Bridgeford, and A. Johnson. Mr J, Robertson was appointed secretary and treasurer. It was decided also to hold two general conferences annually, but centres would be. formed in the various districts to deal with local affairs and to report to headquarters. The executive will meet from time, to time as the urgency of the business demands.
