SHIPPING NOTES. The Cygnet loads here to-day for Kaikoura and Wellington, and sails to-night. . The Kurow, due this morning from Wellington, sails to-night, taking cargo for Dunedin. -\ The Breeze is expected to-morrow from the south. She is to sail in the afternoon with cargo for Wellington, Pkton, and Wanganui. The Katoa is now due to-day from Wellington, and sails to-night for Dunedin. Due back on Sunday, she loads on Monday for Auckland. The Kairanga is to sail on Friday for Bluff and Sydney. The Rotorua arrived yesterday morning from Timaru to continue Homeward loading. The Port Bowen, also loading for Home, arrived at Lyttelton yesterduy from Dunedin. The Progress is timed to load at Lyttelton on Saturday for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Waikato. Early in the New Year (writes our London correspondent) Messrs Workman, Clark, and Companv will launch, at the Belfast ship yard, the new ship Port Fremantle, which is being built to the order of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line. Captain Clift, who piloted the Cannthia while she was in New Zealand and Australian waters, arrived at Wellington from Sydney by the Maunganui on Monday morning. , _. The Northumberland, now unloading Liverpool cargo at Auckland, is to leave there on Friday for Wellington and Lyttelton for further discharge. The Trelissick, which arrived at Welling'ton on Saturday afternoon, was to sail at 5 pm. yesterday for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney to complete discharge of her Montreal cargo. Now loading at Lyttelton, the Shaw, Savill liner Athenic is due at Wellington on January 23rd to complete. She is timed to sail from Wellington at daybreak on January 28th for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. With Pacific Coast cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin the Elkridge arrived at Auckland from San Pedro on Friday afternoon to commence unloading. She -will leave there to-night, and is due at Wellington on Saturday morning. . . ,_,,._. The West Conob arrived at Wellington on Saturday afternoon from Napier to continue discharge of her Pacific Coaßt cargo.
