GERMAN ELECTION POSSIBLE.
CURTIUS FAILS TO FORM CABINET.
(BY CABLE—PHEBS (AUSTBALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) BERLIN, January 14. Dr. Curtius failed to form a Government owing to the Central Party refusing to co-dpei'ate with the Nationalists, as they doubted the latter's sincerity, although a promise was given that Dr. Marx's and Dr. Stresernann's foreign policy would be carried out. There is now a possibility of an election, as there is no likelihood of finding a Government commanding a majority in the Reiclistag.
DR. MARX SUMMONED. (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received January 16th, 11.5 p.m.) BERLIN, January 15. President Hindenburg has commissioned Br. Marx to negotiate with the different parties with a View to the formation of a Coalition Cabinet.
