"THE MAN WHO CAME BACK."
AT STRAND THEATRE. Gedrgo O'Brien has always been noted for his character work on the silver sheet, and in "Tho Man Who Came Back,'' ho gives tho performance of his career. As a ne'er-do-well, jazz-crazy youth, he leaves home following a quarrel to work in a San Francisco shipyard and then, to spile his parents he descends to the lowermost depths of degradation in a Shanghai dive. Ho draws with him a girl, played by Dorothy Mackail, who beccmes a dru<r addict as he sucourabs to liquor. Rehabilitation appears impossible, and thero is a surprise and a thrill in the finale.
The "Yellow Back" is the story of a gallant range rider in tho West, which should please all those who appr:ciate good stories of tho out-of-doors. The stars aro> Fred Hume and Lotus Thompson. The last episode of "The Winking Idol," a comedy, and a news reel are other features on tho bill.
