REPARATIONS.
NEW ZEALAND'S SHARE. ' (PSISS ASSOCUTIO* IMJKMUII.) WELLINGTON, January 14. The Hon. W. Downie Stewart (Act-ing-Prime Minister), in a statement concerning the latest reparation payment from Germany, said the Dominion would receive approximately £352,000 (£39,000 being refund of the cost of repatriating German prisoners, and £313,000 New Zealand's share of reparations paid by Germany prior to the introduction of the Dawes plan). The latter sum of £313,000 has no connexion with payments under the Dawes plan, which arc now coming to hand quarterly. The total receipts to date under the Dawes plan amount to £295,442, giving a total, approximately, of £603.000 received from Germany on account of reparations. The reparation moneys, as thev are receivod, are, in accordance with the Government's decision, being applied in repayment of the war debt.
