SCOTTISH SOCIETY.
The -monthly Ceilidh of the Society was held in the rooms, Manchester street,. Chief J. S. Ckisholm presided, assisted by the Council. The Ceilidh was the annual evening for the juveniles and the following items were given:—Selections by the Society's Pipe Band; songs, blisses M. Shier, B. Bruce, X, Andrews, and Master C. Andrews; recitations. Misses J. Dickson, K. Read, I>. Dickson, M. Shier, and Master Humphreys. During the evening the prises competed for at the annual picnic were presented by the Chief. Dances, reels by the juveniles, Highland reel. Misses J. Dickson, Mclitchlan, R. Belmer, and R. Campbell; Mann triubhais, Misses Templeton (2); clog dance, Miss B. Peddie; hornpipe. Misses J. Potta and M. Walton; jig, Misses B, Dickson and W. Foot; Dutch dance, Misses Walton, Bruce, and Keate. The accompanists were Mrs Macquflrric, Mm Andrews, and Piper Wilson, and members of the band.
