"FIREBRAND."
"A WESTERN ADVENTURER." QUEEN'S THEATRE, MONDAY. A programme calculated to stir tho most jaded tastes will bo submitted at the Queen's Theatre on Monday, when "Firebrand," a rollicking Western comedy-drama, starring Fianklyn Farnum, ivi.l head the' bill. It would be difficult to envisage another film more completely and comprehensively filled with comedy, thrills, and sensation than "Firebrand," a picturo which is frankly melodramatic, pleasantly relieved with human interest, and spiced With eomc of tha most daring "stunts" ever oeen in a fiim. Farnum is one of the coo.cst otunt actois appearing on the screen, and he can, moreover, act in a very convincing manner. The combination results in an attractive photo-play, whioh posecses every essential for amusing diversion, and the production, from the viewpoint of photography, is rich is some fino outdoor shots. Fianklyn Farnum makes a likeable hero, and Rr.lli Langdon doos excellent work in support. "A Western Advonturor," with William Fairbanks piay'ng the title role, ia another story of tho groat outdoors, likewise levelling in activities which acorn to flourish exclusively in the Golden West, and full of action and "romance from start to finish. Tho picture's outstanding feature is its sense of reality, which,, no matter how vividly sensational tho events may bo, still appear conspicuously feasible. A new screen villiun is introduced in Bud Kane, whoso methods of convoying a plausible impression of sxtpcrvillainy savour of originality in its most artistic form. The leading lady is Miss Lamont, a delightful artist in every sense. The box plans rto tit Vcblcy's, where seals may bo reserved.
