Covering 40 acres, served by special tram lines, and equipped with an 88acre car-park, accommodating 4000 automobiles, the new Olympic Stadium at Amsterdam will be the most complete in the world. . The main stadium is concrete and brick, and will accommodate 40,000. Half of these will be seated. The stadium's dimensions are 285 by 185 yards. It contains a football ground and running track. Six hundred seats are reserved tor journalists, also telegraph rooms, and 45 telephone cabinets. Royal and ottical boxes are in the centre ot the ground. „ In addition to the stadium there are the swimming stadium, fencing pavilion, cricket ground, 13 tennis courts, art gallery, and gardens. The buildings are surmounted by a marathon tower of 150 feet, from which will issue a permanent smoke column during the progress of the games. 1
