CINEMA TRAGEDY.
CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE. (BI CABLE—PBESS ASSOCIATION— COPYBISHT.) (AUBTBALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received January 14th, 8.5 p.m.) OTTAWA, January 13. The Coroner's jury at Montreal found that Ameen Laurand, owner of the Laurier Cinema Palace, with his assistant manager, Arie, and the head usher. Bazzy, were criminally responsible for the deaths of 78 children in the panic following the fire in the cinema on Sunday. The accused will be charged to-morrow. Children under sixteen were admitted to the cinema unattended by adults, contrary to the provincial law.
