Mr A. Tanner (Wellington) is staying at the Clarendon Hotel, ' Dr. J. 0. Pairman is staying at Timaru for a short holiday. The Hon. Mr Witty, M.L.C., returned to Christchurch yesterday morning after a visit to Wellington. Mr Edrio J. Liddell Kelly,. of the Christchurch branch of J. Hott, Ltd., has been transferred to-the firm's Dunedin branch. Amonc the guests at Warner's Hotel are Messrs H. Goodwin (Sydney), W, J. Gow (London). H. H. Bartlett (Wellington), H. F. Morton (Timanri F. C. Hay (Wellington). ) Commissioner J. Hay left for the south by the express yesterday morning after a week in Christchurch, where he was engaged in inspecting the work of the Salvation Army in and about the City. The resignation, on account, of illhealth, of Mr C. H. Clemens, who has been treasurer of the Christchurch Regatta Club, was accepted with regret at a meeting of the committee held last night. ' Mr J. Coyle, late secretary to the Wellington Hospital Board, and Mrs Coyle left Wellington yesterday by the Sydney boat for Newcastle, where Mr Coyle will take up his new duties as secretary to the Newcastle Hospital Board of Governors. Among the recent arrivals at the United Service Hotel are Messrs J. C Lamb (Sydney), F. J. Carter (Rangitana), H. E. Card (Wellington), G. K. Whitwain (England), E. A. James (Wellington), C. I. Collard (London), H. E. Hyde (Kaikoura), H. E. Wallace (Dunedin), Lieut.-Colonel Fairbrother (England).
