BOLD BURGLARS.

FRUIT SHOP RAIDED. A THREAT FULFILLED. [THE PRESS Special Service J AUCKLAND, Januar.y 13. Burglars paid a second visit within 48 hours to a fruit shop at the corner ofPnrmll road and Ayr road during Wednesday night, and although they were again unsuccessful in their search for money, a considerable amount ol damage was caused. Chops and Tomatoes. Opportunity was taken to enjoy another meal in the living room. The table was again carefully set, with a cutlery duster serving as a-tablecloth. The remains of several chops were found on two plates, whilo tomatoes had also been secured from the shop and cooked Articles of food were strewn about and butter had boen thrown against the walls. Tho diners aUo consumed strawberries and icecream. No attempt was made to steal a largo amount of stock, although numerous small packets of chocolates arc missing.
