Mary Shcedy, who gave her age as over forty yean, pleaded not guilty to a. charge of using obscene language in Oxford terrace. "I have not much time for these people who disturb the peace of tho community,' said the Magistrate. f, Sho will bo sentenced to 14 days' imprisonment." THEFT OP CLOTHING. A pica of guilty was entered by Margin'!" Tini, aged 13 years, to charges that, about September 15th, 192G, at Little Kiver, she stole a quantity of clothing, valued at £lO 6s, tho property of A. Barclay, and, about March 12th, 192 C, sho stolo a quantity of clothing and money, to a total value of £5 7s Cd, tho property of M. Marsh. Sub-Inspector Mathew said that accused had been employed aa a casual by Mrs Marsh, and while so employed she 6tole a quantity oi clothing and about £5 in money. Later, when employed by Mrs Barclay, sho stolo articles valued at £lO Gs. Some, of the goods had been recovered, but there were etill about £l4 worth missing. Accused was committed to the Borstal Institute at "Wellington for twelve -months.
