NO POSTPONEMENTS. PLAY IN GRADE MATCHES. There v.-ill be n:» postponement oi piny in competition cricket matches in future. All the matches in the Canterbury Cricket Association's competitions will be allotted two definite Saturdays. This innovation meur.s that in the event oi wet weather interferm; with one day's pluv, the result wi'l he judged on the play oi the other day. if the play that has taken place within the period oi two days set apart for the match is inconclusive, the game will be treated as drawn. A definite decision on n first innings, of course, wo'.ild count as a win. If wet weather prevented play en both days, the game would be abandoned. An amendment of the rales, permitting of this system, "-a3 adopted at the quarterly meeting cf delegates of the Association which was held recently.
