DEMPSEY V. TUNNEY.
THE OFFICIAL FILM. BOOKUD FOR GRAND THKATIIE. Members of the New Zealand Boxing Council and tho Wellington Boxing Association, as well as a number of prominent citizens, accepted tho invitation o£ Mr Maurice Ralph (representative of Pinnacle Pictures, NewZealand) to witness a private screening at the King's Theatre, Wellington, of the official film of the Denipsey-Tunney fight, which is to be presented to the public at tha Grand Theatre un Monday next. It is without question tho finest fight film on record, and one that no boxing fan can afford to miss. One sees how Tnnney brought the- ex-champion almost to a state of collapse, and the terrific speed at which Dcuip sey fought some of the rounds to retrieve lost ground. It is a thrilling picture from beginning to end, and one almost feels a measure of sympathy as, towards the close, the old champion is ' seen in distress and at his wits' end to stave off defeat. There was published recently a copy of tho photograph which was sent by wireless to London and took an hour to transmit. Thh picturo showed Tunncy lauding a territi-; right., which shook the one-time invincible champion badly. This blow is reproduced perfectly in the film, but the battle throughout is fought' at such a tearing speed thai only supermen could stand. .It is a tribute to tha management of the Grand Theatre that such a star feature has been so soon secured for a Christchurch theatre, and the question is whether the house will he large enough to accommodate all the people who will undoubtedly wish to see it. during its presentationwc°k. The box pans arc now open at The Bristol Piano Company.
