Houses built up of steel plates in a manner similar to the hull of n ship continue to be adopted in Great Britain with notably good results. There aro many types" on the home market, but that preferred m the rigorous climate of Scotland, which demands particularly efficient housing structures, is one in which not only' the shell, but the whole of the frame work is of steel. Ihe interior of the walls in these hoiisps is sprayed with a composition which obviates sweating. The inside can he lined with anv brand of composition boarding that' mav b« desired, and this may bo papered or otherwise decorated as preferred by the tenant. These houses have proved to be as warm in cold weather as brick houses, with this important difference— that a more nearly even temperature is obtained in hoth extremes of hot and cold weather.
