Numerous interviews with Canadian business men on the questions of theactual trading operations of Canada and Australia, in which Mr Bruce was ablo to remove wrong conceptions and tender practical advice, have revived •the question of an Australian trade commissioner to Canada. Mr Bruce is impressed-by-the fact that Canada has twenty-four trade commissioners throughout the world whom the Canadian Government consider amply justified by the augmented trade resulting from their activities. He has announced his intention of considering, upon his, return, the. appointment of an Australian Trado Commissioner to Canada. "''..•
