Railway Picnic. Members of the Lyttelton Eailway Staff Loid their annual picnio at Motnkarara on Sunday, when about 400 picnickers were conveyed by special train from the port. Owing to the wet weather in the morning, a number did not attend. By midday the weather had cleared, the afternoon was fine, and all enjoyed the outing. The Lyttelton Marine Band played during tho clay. Sports were held, and the children were well catered for. The sports events resulted as follows: Youths, 14-20, 100 yds—A. J.
