TAXI-MEN'S STRIKE.
PROTEST AGAINST NEW DECREE. (B? CABLE -PRESS 4SSOCIAIIOK COrTRIGHT.) (aCSIBAMAN AND S.I. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received January Oth, 5.5 p.m.) FAEIS, January 7. -For the first time for years, the streets were without the fearsome honk associated with Paris laxis on the occasion of & three hour 3' strike while the drivers attended a protest meeting against the decree empowering gendarmes to fine them on the spot for minor breaches of the regulations. The drivers declare that they will not tolerate the decree because they have no faith in the gondarmes.
