FIREMEN'S COMPETITIONS. On Saturday a competition in lire brigade .events was held at the headquarters elation by the members of the btaff. Satisfactory entries were received, and a food day's sport resulted. The officials were: Messrs \V. Juries anil W. Ciiininings, examiners; Superintendent C. C, Warner, judge; Deputy-Superintendent C. J. Taylor, R. Cox, J. McKeuzie, nnd 0. Dodd 2; Station-Officer H. Hughes, Firemen A. E. Hadler, W. Smith, and D. Davidson 3. Times, 55sec, 56 3-ssec, 57 3-ssec. The winner of tho gold medal was Fireman A. E. Hadler. (148 1-5 points), with Fireman W. J. Smith runner-up. Tho prizes will be presented at a smoke concert to be held at the station on Tuesday night.
