All the States were represented at 4 meeting of the Australian Board of Control, which to-day reached "a nun* ber of important decisions. The report showed that the profits of the Australian Eleven's 1926 tour, total* led £20,714. The Board decided without, a Tote toi reject Mr Sydney Smith as a position he had lield<for flfteen yeara. Members justified their action byj resolving that tho officii should be held by a paid official, and pending tha necessary alteration to the constitution, Mr W. H. James was anointed secretary. A further opinion of ° tha Board was that . tho secretaryship should be held by an official in th® States of South Australia, Ne\r South Wales, and Victoria m rotation for ' a period of not} more than three years in each case.
