Commander Marsden, in an address to tho Millions Club, said what surprised him when ho arrived in Australia was to find that the people were still arguing- about the Singapore Base. All Britain sought there was to build a dry dock capable of holding the largest battleships and aeroplane carriers in. the fleet, Singapore was the strategic centre of tho world's sons. After blowing a full gale of condemnation against the Communists and all their doings, he added: "People think England is down and out, but you judge a man. by tho way he conies out for the next, round, and, believo me, England will never bo knocked out."
