Mr Bruce stated at the Canadian Club at Hamilton to-day that unlet* Canada developed her great trade connexions in other directions she would become commercially and industrially more closely linked with the United States, and as a result find her national aspirations inevitably undermined. Canada should look to Britain in the east and Australia in the west for the expansion of her trade and industrial relations mora than to the United States.
