LIMITED IN DANGER.
STRUCK BY SLIP. CARRIAGE DAMAGED. (PBES6 ABSOCIAHOK TSLZGKAM ) PALMERSTON N., January 6. The south-bound Limited met with a slight mishap near Owhango, sixteen miles south of Taumarunui, at an early hour this morning, a small slip' descending on the train as it passed the spot, where the country is very rugged,. None of the passengers was injured, although one, at least, received bruises from stones contained in the debris. The train proceeded on its journey, and it was not until the first station was reached that the accident was discovered by the officials. On arrival at the Palmerston North station this morning the damaged carriage bore evidence of the impact of the fall of earth, several windows being smashed and fanlights broken, while the roof and sides of the car were covered with a deposit of mud.
