During an argument with a number of boys in a street at Darlinghurst, Pierre Moussett, aged 52, drew a revolver and fatally shot George Dunne, Moussett was-arrested and charged with murder. SIDNEY, January 4. When the boy Allura was attacked by the. ehaik, a youth named Stanley Gibbs heroically went to his rescue, punching the monßter until it released its hold.
Gibbs commenced to swim to the shore, pushing the victim before him. The shark again attacked, but was beaten off by Gibbs until a boat arrived. ftaervyn Allum, aged fifteen, Was bathing with other boys at Port Hacking (eighteen miles south of Sydney), when he was seized by a large shark, which stripped the flesh from a log and k lacerated the lower part of his body. The boy's companions drovo the monster off, and Allum was brought ashore. He died on the way to hospital.] JUMPED ON SHARK'S BACK. (Received January 4th, 8.50 p.m t ) SYDNEY, January 4. According to a police report, the youth Gibbs jumped from a launch across the shark's back when the fish attacked Allum, and beat it off from the victim with his fists.
