FIRE AT DUNEDIN.
STRAND TEA ROOMS. [THE FBESS SpecU) Scrrtco.] DUNEDIN, January 4. It is difficult for the management of the Strand Tea Rooms to make a really accurate estimate of the damage from the fire, which practically gutted the premises on Sunday morning, but the insurances on the buildings and contents, including the 6tock of Misses Gallaghers', ladies' outfitters shop, are £13,975. The insurances on Patterson Bros'., men's outfiitters, was £2300 on the stock, and it is estimated that the damage done was roughly about £2OO. The Misses Gallagher will suffer almost a total loss so far as damage to their stock is concerned.
