GRAND THEATRE.
"THE BAT." Eerie mystery, ghostly appearances, and a generally uncanny atmosphere are prodced by "The Bat," now showing at the Grand Theatre. The famous drama receives artistic treatment en the screen, which has unlimited possibilities for securing effect. What sort of thing the Bat was no one knew, but it exerted a sinister influence over r.ll who came into contact with it. Cicver detectives failed to track it down for a considerable time, but eventually the secret was unmasked and the queer manifestations of ghostliness stopped. By no means heavy drama all through, "The Bat' has some extremely funny episodes. Louise Fazenda, the leading lady is responsible for some excellent comedy. Supporting films are also well up to standard.
