An enjoyable social evening was spent in the Fairton Hall on New Year's Eve, over 40 couples participating in the dancing to music supplied by Mr and Mrs H. Chappell. Extras were played by Mr J. Burgess jun. Mr J. Dickinson was M.C. Vocal items were contributed by Mrs F. Haurahan, Miss W Kimeen (Newland), and _ Messrs p ' Hanrahan and J. Burgess, jun. An excellent supper was supplied by the ladies. The New Year was ushered in bv the singing of "Auld Lang Syne.' & J Burgess, on behalf of the Hal Committee, which was responsible for the function, wished everyone the comtliments of the season, and expressed fhope that there would be many such Kew Year's Eve gatherings.
