The story describes the horror of a yonng bachelor when he discovers that a girl well described as a "perfect fright," has been willed on to him, and U coming to stay. Alter' a week, the bachelor can stick it- no'longer, and flees to .Paris. Eliia then undergoes a decided change for the better, and vb« n to guardian returns from abroad be decides that tbo best thing to do 1* to marry Kltia, who now calls herself Dorothy. Miss Zillah Bateman has rarely had a role in which she has been able to Mrprtss ■ ner versatile"talents' as an actress to anch. .»i degree., Jthe change from the gawklsh Klisa to the beautiful Dorothy is nothing short of remarkable. Incidentally, it also gWes the public the opportunity of hearing. Miss Bateman's beautiful soprano TOfee, as she introduces the well-known song. ''Annie I/sprle," in the second act.
