FATAL DIVING ACCIDENT. [THE PRESS Bpeclil Service.] AUCKLAND, January 2. Severe injuries to the head and back received through striking a rock while diving at Rangitoto Island resulted in the death at the Auckland Hospital this aftornoon of a married man named Percy Warbrick, aged 40, of 6 Scotia Place, Auckland. The accident occurred early bn Saturday morning, when Warbrick, who was holiday-making on the Island, went for a swim. He struck his head on some submerged rocks as he dived into tho water. A part" of Boy Scouts carried him on a stretcher to the wharf at Islington Bay, from where he was taken by boat to Auckland. He was admitted to hospital at 11 o'clock sufferi g from a fracture of the skull.
