Y.W.C.A. GIRLS' CAMP AT OTIRA.

The Y.W.C.A. campers at Otira are enjoying ideal weather conditions during this first week in the new holiday house. On Tuesday the whole party essayed the climb to the summit of Mt. Barren, with Mr Caldwell and his son as guides, reaching the top at noon, where, after lunch and a rest, snowballing and snow-sliding were indulged in. Mt. Barren is 5600 ft high, and a magnificent view wag obtained of Arthur's Pass and the mountains beyond, while to the west, Mt. Alexander showed up splendidly. Tho girls in the camping party are: Misses Muxlow (2),Lamont (3), Yeoman, Allen, Church (2), Pearce, Cain, Holland, Thompson, Candy, Widdowson, Joyce (2), Anderson, Bowbyes, and E. Johnstone (hostess). The camp remains at the holiday house over the New Year.
