CITY COUNCIL. NOTICE is hereby given that the Christchurch By-law No. 14 cornea into force an the Ist of January, 1927. The following are some of the provisions contained in the By-law: PARKING MOTOE-CAES: In streets where a tra'm line is laid, cars must draw up parallel to the kerb. In other streets cars must be left at an angle of not more than 45 degrees and facing towards the kerb. Pillion-riding on bicycles prohibited. Overhanging loads not to project more than three inches outeide hub caps of wheels. OFFSIDE RULE: Drivers to give preference to vehicles on their right. Overtaking Traffic prohibited within 20 fert or on an intersection. License Fees for Public Vehicles increased. Cyclists prohibited from holding to Tramcar" or other vehicle in motion. FIRE ENGINES to liavo right of way. GIVING CATTLE: Cattle.—Mobs not to exceed 50. Small Cattle (Sheep, etc.)— Mobs not to exceed 600. J. S. NEVILLE, Christchurch. Town Clerk.
