TEACHERS' SUMMER SCHOOL.

Yesterday the Summer School at Christ's College was opened. Sunday School teachers have conie from all over New Zealand to attend this school to learn how to improve their methods of teaching. At 7.30 a.m. the teachers assembled for Holy Communion, and at 10 a.m. for prayers and Bible studies, when Bishop West-Watson lectured on the Prophets. ' Later, demonstrations of teaching methods were given, which the teachers were asked to criticise.

The afternoon is entirely devoted to recreation, when the teachers have the opportunity of indulging in their particular sporting fancies in the way of boating, tennis, tramping, and observation tours round the City. In the 'evening a lecture on "Music in Sunday Schools" was given by Archdeacon Taylor. He emphasised the necessity of rhythyni in church music, and pointed out the great deal of harm that could bo don 6 through neglect in this matter.
