POLICEMAN'S COAT STOLEN.
(press association txligeam.) HAMILTON, May 12. "While • a local constable was at dinner last week, his overcoat and scarf were stolen. A middle-aged man,. James Percy Holland, was to-day sentenced in tho Lower Court to one month's imprisonment for the theft. Accused admitted previous convictions for theft, and declared that when he took the coat he was suffering from the effects of a drinking bout.
