DRAINAGE BY-LAWS.
REVISED REGULATIONS. LESS EXPENSIVE INSTALLATIONS The revision of the Drainage Board's By-law No. 1, completed toward the end of last year, and confirmed by the Governor-General in Council on February 22nd, 1926, contains some alterations which will be welcomed by the large number of people who are oonr teinplating having, their premises connected with the new sewer. ! The general tendency of these amendments is to eliminate all fittings where their elimination will not interfere with the efficiency of the sewerage system. For instance, the well-known "Cuthbert trap," which, hitherto, has been compulsory, is not considered necessary under the revised by-law. The net result of the amendments made will be that the service will be while still efficient, less expensive to install. In the work of revision the Board's committee had the assistance of representatives of the plumbing and other trade interests concerned. '
