Besidenta o£ the Fairlie district turned out in large numbers on Easter Monday to attend tha A. »hd P. Association's Twenty-eighth Annual Show. In addition, there «u present a number of people from Timaru, Geraldine, and various other ports 01 the country. she Winchester Association was represented by Mr Patterson, the president, and the Mayfield Association by Mr Withell, their vice-president. The weather was perfect throughout the day. The enow was not held last year owing to the epidemic, but the attendance this year was a record, as was evidenced by the Urge nutnber of motor-cars which almost encircled the ting. There were 1100 entries. "Very complete arrangements have been made, and owing to the etforts of Mr T. F. Bussell. president, and Mr J. A. Frazer and the committee, the show went without a hitch. Many of the ladies present spoke very highly of the tent containing easy chairs and lounges, which had been provided for them. The main live stock sections were very well supported, many of the sections showing very high merit. Large entries were received in the sheep sections, especially in tha Komney class. There was also a fine show of Border Leicesters, merinos and Corriedales. There was a good display of animals in the fat and flock classes A special feature in the cattle section was the buttUt test The results ehoWed ranch credit to all the competitors. There were Z particularly fine entries in both the draught and light horsepactions. The dog section provided a good display, and the does in the trial reflected great credit on ih£ owners.
