CHRISTCHURCH CLUB.

EASTER TOURNAMENT. The Christ-church Golf Club's Easter tournament was continued yesterday, wheji a Stroke Haudicap was played in the morning and a Four-ball Bestball Bogey Handicap was the afternoon event.

In the morning C. A. Quane did a 76, less his handicap of four strokes, a 72 net; and Peter Trolove did an 84, less his handicap, 12 strokes, a 72 net. These were the best scores,.and on the play-off Quane won. The best scores were:—

Tho folowing three couples tied in the Four-ball Bogey, in the afternoon, with the good score of 7 up:—L. Bbnnington with a handicap of 5 Btrokes, and B. V. Wright playing on plus 3; M. H. Godby (4) and Denys Hoare (11); A. L. Cropp (1) and C. H. Hewlett (7).

The tournament will be continued on Thursday, when the ladies' programme commences. The morning will be devoted to playing the first round of the Ladies' Canterbury Championship, and, concurrently, a Stroke Handicap, and in the afternoon a Bogey Handicap of 18 holes will be played. AUCKLAND, April 5. The Auckland provincial golf championship final was won by U. D. Wright, who defeated R. M. George on the 22nd green. The gams was a Homeric, struggle. George was two up at the '.4 th, and was going "well, but Wright «tuck to it, and won. The Governor-General, in presenting the prizes, said he intended to take tip • the, game when he had more leisure He would be pleased to play golf; he was,a great admirer of the game. AT NELSON.

Under perfect .weather conditions the final of'the Maria watu Easter golf championship was pldved to-day. H. H. Hutchinson and A. E. Ekstedt (hplder), both of Manawatu, competed for tho title. Ekstedt won, 2 up, after a remarkably well-contested game, in which Hutchinson held the winning position for tho greater part oi the time. AT WELLINGTON.

A. D. S. DUNCAN BEATEN. (PEESS ASBOCIATIOK TELEORAH.) WELLINGTON, April 6. Some excellent golf was witnessed »t Ileretaunga links to-day, when A. E. Conway defeated A. D. S. Duncan in the final of the Wellington Provincial Championship. In the semi-final Duncan beat Parker 3 up and 2. A. E. Conway and T. Horton were all square at the eighteenth, but at the 19th Conway got the hole in 4-5. ' Conway also won the final. Duncan missed some apparently easy shots, his putting not being up to form. At the 15th Conway was 5 up. H. J. Shanis won the bogey competition. TARANAKI CHAMPIONSHIP. (ratSS ASBOO4TIOS IK-lGllll.) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 6. In the semi-finals of the Taranaki golf championship.
