Cole ascended Girdlestone Peak in the National Park and inspected the tablet erected vthere, some four years, ago to the memory of Herbert Earle Girdlestone, the well-known,' surveyor of the Lands Department, who was killed during the war. They report the tablet in perfect condition and the climbing good.
