TRAPPED BY FIRE.
SENSATION IN DUBLIN.
GIRLS JUMP FROM BUILDING. («t cablx—press association- —cotoiomt.) (austbjluah axd k.e. cablk association.) (Received September 7th, 7.25 p.m.) LONDON, September 6. Sensational rescues from a fire in business premises in Mary street, Dublin, are reported. Forty people wero trapped and 27 men and women jumped from the second storey, 15 being injured. Several girls wero caught by men in tho crowded street. Many jumped too soon, striking tho pavement.
The police requisitioned a canvas sheet into which a girl jumped, but fell through, and was badly injured. A woman in tho crowd offered a shawl, in which two girls were caught. Another flung herself from a window and was caught in a policeman's arms.
