TRAMPING CLUB.
On Sunday the Christchurch Tramping Club held a trip which was agreed (o be easilv the best trip that the Club has yet organised. The largest party yet recorded proceeded bv motor to Glentui, and after pausing to boil the billy a start was made up the Blowhard Track. At first this led through the open foothills, bqt soon the bush was reached and for the remainder of the iournev the way was through thick native bush thicker than the majority of the party had 'imagined existed within such a short distance of Christchurch. Part of the trip tvas very steep, and the difficulty of process was increased by a foot of snow on the hieher levels, often banking to considerably greater depths in exposed places. The party stayed some time on the summit of Mt. Blowhard f34ooft), admiring the splendid view to be obtained of the Lees Valley and the Puketeraki range to the north, aqd practically the whole of the plains to the south.. On the return journey the party separated, some returning another xoute..
