U.S. SEAPLANES.
HAWAIIAN FLIGHT POSTPONED. TOWED MACHINE TURNS TURTLE. (by cable—pkess association—copyright.) ("Abocs.") SAX FRANCISCO, September 3. It is reported that PN9, No. 3, which abandoned the Pacific flight, was tipped over and sank in San Francisco Bay by the wash of a passing steamship while being towed to the repair bese. The two men aboard were 6aved. Naval officers admitted that this showed how easily the missing PN9, No. 1 might have been swamped in the rough seas in the vicinity of Maui Island. Mr Curtis T. AVilbur, Navy Secretary, lias ordered the flight of PB.l to be postponed indefinitely. HOPE ABANDONED. (belter's telegramsO (Received September 4th, 8.5 p.m.) HONOLULU, September 4. Hope is diminished of the rescue of No. 1 Plane. N"o trace was discovered on Thursday.
